Like it mostly, a pet peeve though.. March 9, 2010 T. Lewis I've had this microwave for about 2 months now, and in general I like it. It looks nice, was the exact dimensions of the one it replaced, and seems to be a little quiter that the old model whirlpool I had.
Thing I like about it:
The sensor reheat is nice. I generally gets the food hot throughout, and you don't have to keep guessing about how much time to put in to get the food hot. Be careful to use a heat resistant container.
I like (but not love) the setting knob. I guess that it just takes a little getting used to, but I don't really think it's any better or worse that a regular number pad
Thing I don't like about it:
This is my pet peeve. It doesn't do microwave popcorn well. I've tried using the popcorn feature. It pops about half of what it should. I've tried using the timer, and while more will pop that using the popcorn feature, it invariably burns. Yes, I read the instruction book, and yes I'm setting the bag size correctly. I've even tried different brands of popcorn and it makes no difference. Don't know why this is, but it just is not good at popping popcorn.
Hope this helps.
Love this microwave! March 8, 2010 P. Soine (Granite Falls, MN United States) I conducted EXTENSIVE research looking for a microwave and was becoming increasingly disgruntled by what I was seeing on the market these days. A lot of dissatisfaction was out there! I did not want to be another one that fell into the 25-30% dissatisfied column. It seemed like I was not going to find what I was looking for until suddenly I ran across this gem. It looked great; the price was super; the customer satisfaction was really high (90-95% - which was the highest I had ever seen; the nearest any other came was 75-80% but there were issues). I love this machine! The stainless is super easy to keep clean. The defroster is great to work with. I had read other reviews that people had issues with the knob; I think it's great. Didn't take me long to figure it out at all. Also read some reviews of people having issues with opening by pressing the button; this was on our previous microwave (another brand). Works just fine so I don't have any issue at all. This is a solid feeling machine. Food gets cooked nice and even. If there was ONE THING that I had to whine about it would be that we can't do popcorn in our popcorn maker anymore. We have to do it in bags now. Of course, I'm taking my husband's word for this - I've not tried it myself to see what he's doing, but the popcorn doesn't get all popped (lots leftover) in the popcorn maker and set on Popcorn timer. Anybody else have a problem?? Solution?
Description not accurate January 25, 2010 KitchenRemodeler (Minneapolis, MN USA) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
The cupboards in my kitchen have a specific microwave shelf. The description for this unit understates the actual width dimension by several inches. I was able to find a smaller unit locally, which works fine.
Really easy to use. January 22, 2010 J. Huber (Lafayette, IN USA) My husband and I really like this microwave. It is very easy to use. The sensor cook and sensor reheat options are work wonderfully. And the defrost feature on this microwave is superior to ones we have had in the past. We believe Panasonic's selling point that continuous power at a lower level (as opposed to cycling the power on and off) is a better way to do low-power cooking and defrosting.
Leaks Radiation December 22, 2009 Mehri Kaufman (Kirkland, WA USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
So far the re-heat seems to bet getting a bit carried away. I did read the directions, and I hit the more button twice to reheat it less, but it seems to be heating more than I'd like. I do love the pop out dial button like everyone else.
I almost bought the one at Costco that is very close to this- then I noticed it was missing the dial. Too much button pressing to cook something! When I looked the costco model up on the Panasonic's site, it is a "special" crippled model for Costco. I made that mistake once when I bought a $2500 TV from Costco and the optical output didn't work so it's incapable of being used to switch inputs w/ audio going to the amp. (specially made by Sharp for Costco)

Updated: The reheat feature overcooks everything and this leaks radiation to the point I cannot use the wifi or wireless phones. Furthermore, they don't answer their customer service mail on their site.
